Review of chapter "Boomer has a Plan (BSG2003)" from MBB
Review:
When I watched that episode, I though Boomer fully intended the Cylons to have that fall-out. Unfortunately the writers never continued on it and Boomer was largely forgotton.
So I am very glad you finally wrote what should have been canon, and think you should post it as a stand-alone ficlet on a BSG board as well. (in fact I almost missed it)

From the other chapters I particularly liked the Red Dwarf pieces. :-D

Review of chapter "Arrival BSG" from RevDorothyL
Review:
The last part there reminds me very fondly of an old Gordon R. Dickson short story: "Danger--Human!" (in which some aliens kidnap a poor schmo from Earth, to try to figure out why they've inherited this very ancient warning about going anywhere near humanity, which apparently has a much longer and darker history of a cycle of galactic conquest and reprisals followed by a re-building of the species on new worlds and new cycles of conquest -- of course, by trying to discover what makes humanity so dangerous, they inadvertently turn their test subject into a monster, set on their destruction, and thereby discover just why they were warned not to have any contact with humans in the first place!).

Nice work!

Review of chapter "Rescue Part II BSG / HTLJ" from RevDorothyL
Review:
Thrilled to see another chapter in Hercules' encounter the the Fleet, but I was at a loss to identify "Hespesteus". Is that some alternate spelling for Hephaestus (the god of the forge -- a.k.a. "Vulcan" in the Roman version) that I'm unaware of, or what? (I even googled it, and couldn't get a single hit.)

Delightful imagery! And I love the snarkiness of Six's thought processes.

Review of chapter "Quandary BSG03" from RevDorothyL
Review:
Really intriguing, but I'd like to know how Six got the Lucifer story from reading the Bible -- unless she was reading the Latin Vulgate translation of Isaiah 14:12, which apparently does render "Day Star" (one of the terms used to describe the king of Babylon, one of Israel's enemies, whom God brings low) as "Lucifer" or "Light-bringer"? And if it's in the Vulgate, it might well have been preserved in the King James, I suppose. And since she's obviously reading a very, very old version of the Bible under glass . . . never mind!

I've always wondered how the Cylons might cope (or not) with discovering that a good percentage of earth's people are also monotheists of one sort or another, and that almost NOBODY here recalls the gods of the Colonials as anything other than useful myths and metaphors. Thanks for answering that in part.
Comments from author:
There are lots of other implications too, if the cylons and colonials ever do find Earth...
If we assume its the 'real' Earth they find or at least a close approximation of it, then we can PROVE humanity evolved here.
Imagine what that would do the colonial beliefs regarding kobol, before you start on anything else....

Review of chapter "Red Galactica 1/3 BSG03/Red Dwarf" from mymatedave
Review:
Question, why is Tigh mentioning Christ? The Colonials are polytheists, following the Olympian pantheon. That aside, I love this chapter and look forward to the next batch of updates.
Comments from author:
And in the TV series we have references to several other pantheons, as an example ragnar anchorage would be a reference to the norse myth of the end of days, ie Ragnorak.
There are definate indications through out the series that even if they have managed to wipe out worship of other pantheons, they havent entirely managed to scrub their memory

Review of chapter "7 Points BSG03/SG-1" from raven
Review:
I like the lead in for this chapter. Nice parallel to the original movie/pilot. One question-since the USS Prometheus is crewed by SGC personnel, why are they identifying their system as Tauri? The snakes called them that. If you wanted to hide the fact it was the home system for Earth it could easily be called Sol without the connotations that Tauri could bring from a hostile entity.
Comments from author:
That would be because they are known in space as the Tau'ri and that is the name that most people are likely to know and too respond too.
They would probably go around calling themselves Earthers only if they did not want to immediately be linked to the SGC

Review of chapter "Rescue BSG2003/HTLJ" from RevDorothyL
Review:
I hadn't even thought about that 'family' aspect, until Hercules mentioned it. Nice way to connect HTLJ through the BSG humans' belief in deities that share the names of the old Greek pantheon and their Roman counterparts.
Comments from author:
Thanks!
That particular glimpse has been updated now as well, with a second part

Review of chapter "I Scream Inside... BSG03" from cwolf
Review:
Since the chapter isn't enough to tell me if this chapter is a crossover, or is simly a bsg fic with something from your own mind thrown in... could you start doing what most authors do? Tell what exactly is being crossed over?
Comments from author:
every single chapter is labelled with the cross if there is one.
trying looking at the chapter title on the top of the page or on the drop down list of chapters
