Review of chapter "Part Three" from Fool
Review:
I LOVE this story! It was so great. I read it in one setting. I liked it better than the movie. Obviously because it has Spike and Illyria but still that was just so great! It really made my day to be able to read such a great fanfic. That alot. It's Fool from the Bronze btw.
Comments from author:
thank you very much for the lovely review and the rec, you have just made my day.

Review of chapter "Part Three" from Geyer
Review:
Add me to the list of people who didn't see the movie but really liked this crossover. It has a combination of humor and gore that reminds me of early Buffy seasons (the best ones), and the thoughts and comments of Leroy and Melanie were hilarious. Spike's take on things was also great. Very nicely done all around.
Comments from author:
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Review of chapter "Part Three" from grd
Review:
That was awesome! I love Spike and Fred together for this crossover. Wish you had gone into more detail on how Fred rampaged through the Vamps though. Their last thoughts and point of view would have been funny.
Comments from author:
Thank you for your kind review, I hesitated to write in detail how Fred/Illyria slaughtered seven noseferatu all by herself because although I believe her capable of easily doing this I have no idea how one would actually accomplish it - being more experienced with battling with my umbrella in a wind gust rather than facing foes with a sharpened blade.

I'm sorry I let you the reader down in this area.

Thanks for your lovely review again.

Review of chapter "Part Three" from (Past Donor)JoeHundredaire
Review:
There are randomly capitalized words and some homophone problems, and the dialog... yeah. I suppose the old Christmas adage applies here: "It's the thought that counts".
Comments from author:
Oi, where's my one out of ten?

randomly capitalised words?: I did?
homophone problems?: I did?

You're normally right about that type of stuff, so rats I shall double check.

Crap.

Dialog: I've never written Fred or Spike before, so you're right it is the thought that counts.

Cheers and thanks.

I actually felt like puking with tension at the venom that was possibly coming my way so I was pleasantly surprised by your review.

Review of chapter "Part Three" from (Recent Donor)DaveTurner
Review:
Hats off to you, I was able to pick this story up from where you'd left it without even having to go back a chapter to check where I was. A good bit of vivid storytelling.

Good comedy moments are always appreciated (as i tend to read Updates in the morning and with almost sub zero temps I needed cheering up) and this story had them aplenty.

Still haven't seen the film, but I will honest!

All the best,
DaveT.
Comments from author:
Thank you kindly for the review. Yes there was a wee gap between instalments but thank god one of my stories at least is finished.

And thanks for your encouragement to make it so.

Review of chapter "Part One" from Sioban
Review:
I am from Alaska and though I haven't seen the movie I can give you some pointers about Barrow. The town is in the tundra and there wouldn't really be any hills from which that one creepy dude could look down on it, also no one would call it a township. Any flights going to Barrow wouldn't have a stewardess though for the story I grudgingly understand why you might have to keep that in. Unless the flight attendant is from the lower 48 (contiguous U.S.) she would not be called a Native American, but a Native Alaskan. Here are the names of some indigenous groups in Alaska, Inupiat(far north arctic including Barrow), Yupik (west north) Athabaskan (interior) Aleut (South west) Tlingit (southeast). Over all I really did like the story I only point out these discrepancies with reality so you can create a more believable story.
Comments from author:
Thank you very much for your review and your helpful input. I shall quickly make my air hostess an Inupiat and bear your references in mind should I write a story in that setting again.

If you see the movie you might be cringing over your popcorn as it is fictious in everyway, ie, Barrow has sixty days of night not thirty. (Oh and vampires aren't real -wink)

I liked the movie - many of the actors in it are New Zealanders pretending to be Alasakan as it was filmed in NZ. Stella is played by an Aussie. You have Maori actors doubling as Native Alasakans.

So you'll probably find the film hilarious.

Thanks for the postive and helpful feedback.

Review of chapter "Part One" from Miranda
Review:
I really like this story..and I see its been a few months since you updated it. I do hope you continue because I would like to see a fight between blue spike and the other vamps...hopefully spike would still be able to kick there asses :)
Comments from author:
Thank you very much for your recent review, Miranda, because it made me determined to finish this story.

I don't know if it's the ending you want exactly, but thank you anyway.

Review of chapter "Part Two" from (Recent Donor)DaveTurner
Review:
I loved the kids reaction at the end and the blue hair comment...very true to life.

Makes me wish I'd gone to see this film, ok I'll have to wait for the DVD release. this is a truly great fic, captures the feeling of the cold, dark Alaskan night and the terror engendered by the vampires. Glad I'm reading it during the day not on a 'dark and stromy night'!

tech point: Berretta 9 Desert Storm? Try Berreta 9mm, sounds better and (although I may be wrong here [unlikely I know!]) they're two different pistols.

Love your version of Fred/Illyria very true to the series I thought.

Can't heap enough praise on this fic.

Dave.

Review of chapter "Part One" from Leoruby
Review:
I haven't seen the movie but I love the universe you put Spike and Illyria into. It's bleak with a sharp wit like the pair. And despite Illyria posing as Fred, I understood the dynamic between Fred and her old friends. Leroy Hernandez? LOL, that poor guy.
Comments from author:
Thank you so much for reviewing, Leoruby, I'm glad you like my fic for you so far.

And I'm relieved you understood that Fred's friends from Dallas are people that meant a great deal to her because it was important for the story that readers believe Fred truly loved Melanie.

Review of chapter "Part One" from AllenPitt
Review:
interesting... Spike getting the shanshu, don't see that very often. Poor Angel.... um, these nosferatu, are they the same 'type' as William used to be? I haven't seen the film.... why would they be 'the last of their kind'? Unless this is a world with lots of slayers who've hunted most of them down now?
Are Spike/Illyria here by chance, or do they know about this 'plan'? The 2 swords indicate they know.... One would think Illyria wouldn't need any help with all this, yikes...
Comments from author:
Thank you for your review.

The Nosferatu are much closer to Ubervamps than standard vamps.

Why are the Nostferatu the last of their kind? It shall be explained before the end of the story never fear.

And does Illyria need help? No, not really for fighting prurposes, maybe she needs Spike's assistance for other matters.
