Review of chapter "Little Death" from starwolf
Review:
this sets up a very interesting premise. do you plan to follow up on it?
thanks
Comments from author:
Thank you. I did intend to continue this in a longer multi-chapter story and I had hoped that the newest novel would inspire me, but unfortunately it feel short of expectations. I've started rereading the series from the beginning so hopefully that will do the trick. Thank you for reading!

Review:
This was fantastic, wish there was more.
Comments from author:
Thank you. The first chapter of a much longer story is written, but I won't start posting it until it's completed. Thank you for reading!

Review of chapter "Little Death" from wyvernwolf
Review:
I had a teeny tiny brainmelt moment when I got to the end and realised the baby was Buffy! But then it was surprisingly easy to get onboard the idea of Darla as Buffy's mother and so desperate to protect her child from the machinations of the fae court that she's willing to give her up.

As always, loved your way of setting and describing the scene. I do look forward to reading anything else from this verse. :)
Comments from author:
Brainmelt, huh? I hoping in the best possible way. :) Even vampire-Darla cared for her child and was willing to die to bring him safely into the world. That says something of the character that even evil she found it in herself to love and since this version isn't evil it made it an easier transition I think.

Thank you. I tend to visualize and then just write what I imagine and I hope to share more of this verse once the muse winds down on other projects. Thank you for taking the time to review!

Review of chapter "Little Death" from Oblivion
Review:
Really intriguing start here. Love the idea that Darla is Buffy's mother and some kind of oppressed fae race. Looking forward to seeing how Buffy's powers are going to come in and the relationships with other BtVS characters as well as the difference between this an cannon. One question though what is the age difference between Buffy and Mary? Can't wait to read more of this as it is already better than most of the Mary Gentry Books ;)
Comments from author:
Thank you. I think the lesser fey are always treated so poorly in the books that a story told from their perspective would be interesting. I'd love to do a prequel, but there's so little known about Essus that it'd take me awhile to get a handle on his character.

I've plans for Cordelia and Willow so far as I muddle my way through the plotting process. Merry was 18 when her father died so she's quite a bit older than her little sister. I've plans to merge Buffy's life with the books' plot line at the end of second book which will make Merry 33 and Buffy 15.

Buffy's age will keep these stories rated FR15/18 for the most part so I doubt I'll be throwing in random orgies. :) Thank you for taking the time to review!

Review:
Whoa! Darla is Buffy's real mother? That is sooo freaky! And a little gross when when you think about the Angel angle (say that five times fast). I'm going into my denial world where Buffy met and fell in love with Oz before seeing Angel. Lalalala.
Comments from author:
I've always thought the two actresses looked similar so for me it's not too far a stretch and since Angel won't be in this series I don't have to find it gross or even contemplate it. (And I so said Angel angel three times fast before it tripped me up.) I'm perfectly fine with Buffy meeting up with Oz first, but in my little world she came to Sunnydale with Pike and was all, 'Angel who?' :)

Review:
Exquisite. Thanks so much for writing this fic. :)
Will there be sequels? And prequels maybe?
Comments from author:
Thank you! I have plans for some sequels, but I think prequels would be hard since Essus never had any actually 'screen' time in the books. :) Thank you for taking the time to review.

Review of chapter "Little Death" from Gideon
Review:
At least in this AU Darla wouldn't be trying to kill Buffy when she comes to Sunnydale, unless she doesn't recognise her perhaps?
Do you think you might come back to this story after August?
Comments from author:
Darla isn't a vampire so she wouldn't go after a Slayer, unless provoked, regardless. Though there aren't vampires in Merry Gentry'verse so there'd be no need for a Slayer...

I plan to come back to this series either during August or after. Thank you for taking the time to review.

Review:
Ok, you have me undivided attention. I seriously, SERIOUSLY want to see this in a series. Like a century ago >:). I love merry Gentry, but having an extra 'kin' would be interesting to her, especially one who had not been in the Unseelie, under her aunt's thumb.
Comments from author:
I've had this plot bunny bouncing around since the first book and I finally sat down to write it. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm curious to see Merry's reaction to having a little sister myself.

Hopefully the next story doesn't take nearly as long for me to get out. Thank you for taking the time to review!
