Review of chapter "Books and Burrows" from Jazzibear
Review:
I have actually read the whole story several times (and I shall certainly read it many more times, for I so enjoy the flavour of the writing and the impeccable craftsmanship), but this refers to Chapter 1.

One entirely frivolous point:
• The group in the downstairs meeting room … included … one of Willow's fellow witches, a tall, young man with fluorescent green glasses called Timothy.

So we know his fluorescent green glasses are called Timothy, but what is his name?

Sorry.

Prescription Pair Elton John Special. ;-)

Review:
I can't add much that hasn't already been said in multiple other reviews, so I'll just say that I adore this series So Hard!
Even more than the Waifs and Strays universe, which is saying something as I have been quite avidly following that for awhile now.
So yes, whenever time and inspiration permits, more please! And thanks for writing. :)
Comments from author:
I've been busily badgering away at a sequel or two and a prequel. I hope to have something up in july...

Very glad you like it,

Review of chapter "Chapter 4" from Meneldur
Review:
Oh, a great ending to an excellent story! I really can't wait for the sequel. George and Spike were simply brilliant together. He had entirely too much fun teasing her about her prudishness, but after those horrors, they needed it.
I have no idea what Fu Manchu wants, but it can't be good if it involves him and Sunnydale, and that's an understatement.
Giles and Emma are different, but in their own way just as exciting and versatile as George and Spike. I love seeing all these relationships more than anything else in your stories.
So what was Amy doing there? Was she kidnapped by Fu, in order to gain more information on Sunnydale? Or did she work with him and displease him? What are the Scoobies going to do about this? I can't wait to find out - she was always a very interesting character.
Fah was very interesting, especially with her insinuations about Spike. She's not exactly an ally, but not an enemy? It's unclear. If the wanted her help, they certainly didn't act that way. Then again, they didn't try to kill her either... a silent truce until Fu is destroyed, and then negotiate it? We shall have to see.
The shenanigans surrounding the Artes Magicae Amatoria were a hilarious end to the heroes part in it. But of course, ultimately, Willow is the victor. Now let's hope nothing bad comes of it...
The last part was surprisingly swift, brutal and a great Cliffie. Fu's revenge on Geoffrey, I assume, but what else? I can't wait to find out.
Comments from author:
Yes, Spike is a bit more adult than poor George. Her Mum needs to have a word or two with her. Fu+SD= BB!

Giles and Emma are closer together in age. And they can learn about hte modern world together...

As for Amy, that will come out in the next story, I promise.

Fah's role in the books was always ambigious. She often helped the heroes, to save her own ass. Willow and a weird spellbook and nothing bad? We should be so lucky...

Review:
You know, I really am looking forward to the combined smackdown on Manchu coming up.

I liked that little round robin on that book at the very end.

Not entirely sure about that last bit, but for some reason (assuming the guards are unconscious, not dead), I want to say it's the Technet out of the old Excalibur comics. Otherwise, I got nothing.
Comments from author:
Indeed. so do I. But it will be some time coming, I fear.

Heh, so did I. Probably (Hopefully) Willow will be smarter than to mess with it, but still...

Its a British thing: the Mr Men.

Review of chapter "A time and place" from Meneldur
Review:
I will get to your other stories eventually, I promise... but long chapters make for long reading and reviewing, and with my job as army chaplain, I just don't have the time.

This was a really great chapter. It was mostly plot development, but it was excellent plot development.

It was nice to see a bit of Giles/Emma interaction, I really hope we'll see more when things calm down.

Buffy and Willow managing to keep the mood light before that horror they saw was a good touch. It made for greater shock and mood whiplash, and it offered a moment of lightheartedness before that absolute horror.

It was absolutely horrid. You, sir, have an evil mind, if you are able to think of such things for the bad guys to do. I cannot imagine how you would even begin to think about it. Thank the Lord Buffy and Willow will stop it before it goes too far.
Still, even then they managed to alleviate it somewhat, with references to jocks and previous lives. That is a very important skill to have.

What did Buffy find? What is it?

George and Spike were so enjoyable, especially with how well they know each other.

Oh, poor poor Andrew. At least he's doing good work.

Nice strategic turn of mind by Willow there. I hadn't expected her to be the tactician of the group. Maybe she learned that as well from books and experience?

Ooh, Millie will totally get it, and she totally deserves it. Can't wait to see the next part, although f you keep it as horrid, I will have to express my disappointment. Just kidding - you're not too graphic, and you just manage to get across the sense of the atrocity done. Until my next review, which will hopefully be soon, Meneldur.
Comments from author:
I know the feeling. Even answering reviews is taking me far too long... Army chaplain? Hope my woeful lack of knowledge of the current US military isn't too obvious.

Yes, there will be more Giles and Emma.

I wanted that mood whiplash. Glad it worked. And yes, it was vile. I've been a Dungeon Master for too long. And read too much history...

Ah, that question has been answered. I just hope that it was believable. I never wanted to protray George as a Mary Sue, just wanted to show people's perception of her. And that it differs from reality.

Willow has been reading up, especially since she and Buffy got together. Can't have her Honey-bunny injured now, can she? ;-)

Yes, Millie was a little too overconfident there. And I try to imply and leave things to the imagination. Not everything need be spelled out.

Glad you enjoyed it and for the long review.

Review of chapter "Chapter 2" from Meneldur
Review:
Oh, another excellent chapter. I don't actually have much to say (which is a shame, considering how long it took me to get to this). But the technical aspect of it all was excellent, and I loved how you seamlessly wove the personal relationships of people with the preparations, and the way those relationships were portrayed and written. The humor was also much appreciated. Can't wait for more.
Comments from author:
Thank you. A lot of Buffy was personal relationships, I wanted to get those in there. Glad that you didn+t find them overwhelming.

“It’s open too, so need to kick it down, Buff,” she told Buffy, who was winding up for a kick with a reproving smile

**NO** need to kick it down, I think.

Heh, what villain did you expect to be written into a story with Wombles? ;-) I really need to introduce Faith to some Wombles...

Review:
Good chapter with some fun and funny interactions between Buffy and Willow, and George and Spike.
I don't know a great deal about Fu Manchu unfortunately but I am looking forward to this crossover still.
Comments from author:
Thank you, glad you liked it. Fu Manchu has fallen in appreciation since it is more than a little raicst. But it is so marvelously over the top that I've just got to use him.

Review:
Oh, excellent. I'm so happy to see more of this. And I will get to reviewing the new chapter of Lonely Souls - I'm just currently swamped by work.
It's really nice to see Buffy handle Willow and snap her out of her reading daze. I know how insidious and powerful such things can be, and it's good Willow has someone to take care of her in that regard. It's also quite nice to see their relationship.
Wow. So the Queen and the President want to meet Willow. I'm not really surprised... still, you'd think Buffy would try to build it up slower, so as not to shock Willow. I can't wait to see what happens. The idea of Willow being titled Consort of the Slayer was quite cute, and I also wonder what other titles she has. Spike meeting the Queen also promises to be brilliant.
Spike has such an interesting past, and such a fascinating relationship with George. He also has great stories. I want to hear the one about Annie and Dru!
Madame Cholet (and really, all the Wombles) was brilliant. Willow's explanation and excitement about Earth Mothers was informative and interesting. The interactions between them all (and thier obvious respect for Willow) were very nicely done.
So, Fu Manchu, huh? I wonder if we'll see anyone else from that series... well, in any case, this promises to be interesting. Can't wait for more.

“Yeah, okay. Just joking,” Willow smiled. That was me making a joke, - I think you want quotation marks for the last part of that, like so: “Yeah, okay. Just joking,” Willow smiled. "That was me making a joke",
Comments from author:
Happily beavering away at the next two chapters and the sequel. And I know just how you feel about work. Yes, they're good for each other.

I think Buffy knows that Willow would panick no matter what, so she went for the big shock and now will try and clam her down.

The other titles will be revealed in the next story. ;-) Spike will take great pleasure in relating the story about Anne and Dru, oh yes indeed...

Glad you liked the Wombles. They'll appear some more in this story. There will be some Fu characters, but most of them are dead. In the Spike prequel however...

I think I got the quotation marks, but I've noticed that edits sometimes fail. Has it been altered?
