Review of chapter "The Lucien Files I" from Gscdine
Review:
Short as this Chapter may be, the dialogue between Wes and Faith is absolutely delicious, current psychopath vs recovering psychopath.

Once again, despite the impression that Wes is coming off as a loose cannon, you have made it not seem to be out of character. Reminds me of Cannon’s Wes in his hypomanic (but without the depression/mood swings, bitterness and excessive alcohol intake) state after Fred died.

Question I have though is, is Wes’ psyche here fracturing or does he really not care(for his as well as Faith and the life of his “team”), recklessly abandoning caution?

Eagerly anticipating what’s next.
Brilliant. Thanks and please write some more soon.

Howdy!

Please, Faith has only one outright kill on her hands. Buffy alone has her way beat much less Wes. Hell, even Willow has a higher outright murder count. Finch was an accident with Buffy holding equal 'blame' if not more (seeing as she threw him under Faith's stake). By the end of Sn3 Buffy was WAAAY over Faith's outright kill count human-wise! Willow has two brutally sadistic human murders to her name. Giles several as well (Ben being the one we've seen. More are implied). Connor fed 'em by the dozens to Jasmine. Gunn cooly murdered one guy (who deserved it, no doubt) in order to prevent FRED(!) from doing it. Spike happily murdered alongside Dru when she returned to Sunnydale despite his chip (and yet again somehow avoided the stake).
And these are "the good guys!"

On a whole, good guys or bad, Faith's a light-weight! Nor particularly vicious when compared to Wes (who makes Faith look like a piker when it comes to torture...in CANON!), Angelus, Spike, or even Willow. Never got why so many are scared of her and why she carries so much onus. Or why she trashes herself in show and out in fanfic. She's no worse and much better than many who condemn her, owes them little, and should move on.
And killing humans? What's the difference really 'tween a scum-bag baby killer and the demon he's feeding it to? None I can see! Yeah, slippery slope, but if Buffy can do it (an she did regularly) so could Faith so long as she's VERY careful.
Though I do sympathize with her reasons for not doing it though. And respect your Faith for this.

One complex story with deep characters that so far has avoided pointless navel gazing. Wes is both fascinating and scary, Faith has ever more layers to her, and Lilah delightfully evil without being two dimensional. Meanwhile the crossover stuff so far hasn't been overdone.

Kudos!

Review:
Wes' thoughts towards Buffy, Angel, and Faith are very understandable. It's a shame he didn't get to repair his relationship with Angel as he did in canon and it's good he realises Faith was as much a victim as he was, although in different ways.

That was beyond arrogant of Giles not to deal with Faith's crimes. But then, she's never been a priority for him. No wonder she never trusted him. He never gave her reason to do so.

Willow doesn't come well there. But then with her past and her multiple breaking of the laws of magic, she's never going to...

Buffy is as stupid and arrogant as I recall while Faith shows how much she learnt. Love Dresden's reply to W&H.

Review of chapter "A Day In The Lilah" from Gscdine
Review:
Thanks for the literal more Lilah, love their bit-by-bit dialogue and reaction. Brilliantly done. [More Wes?]

Oh dear Lord. What is happening with the Universe at large? Why is Wes and Faith heading for San Francisco?

Another build up[you really love doing that don't you, and you are really good at it, almost making me wish I'm not following it "live" but rather reading in in 2015. Almost] Please don't make us wait too long.

Review:
Loved the long Wesley monologue. Now I am able to see where exactly your Wesley is mentally, quite evidently still trying to process all the traumatic events, even his admire-antipathy feelings towards Angel. Even in his most crazy[minus mind wipe], there is still some logic in his actions.

Oh dear, what is he going to do to Lindsey. Very cheeky of you to switch it to Lilah's special ex-shark room. I'm pretty sure some readers would have gone off to think that (after the almost crazy-loony monologue) Wes is crazy enough to go anti-007 and drop Lindsey off onto a shark pond. Well, one of my friends who is also following this series and has less faith than I have in Wesley thought so.

Since you are taking requests, more Wes, more Giles, more Lilah and more Faith.

Last but not least, thank you for putting up your works at a consistent pace so that some of us won't go into withdrawals.

:P

We'll see what Wes does to Lindsey eventually.

And, you're welcome. I move as fast as I can. :)

Review of chapter "Because **** You, That’s Why" from Letomo
Review:
As you've mentioned you're taking requests, what about Karen/the CPD, especially their special projects group? How would they interact with Oracle? Or, how about [Ramirez? the other Warden in the States]. And, will you cover the period while Harry's 'dead'?

And, I figured a fairly sizable reason for Wesley's issues and rambling is that he is still quite, quite insane, and needs severe help mentally.
Comments from author:
The events of the canon Dresden File books forward from White Night won't happen exactly as they did in canon (though I plan to incorporate their plots in the larger story, things will go differant because of the inclusion of the Buffyverse, et cetera.) I can safely say Harry won't die. :P

That said, thanks for your request for more of the SI division in the CPD. I'll do what I can to include that soon. :)

Review of chapter "Spike?!" from Gscdine
Review:
Oh Dear Lord!
The egomaniacal smurf is coming. Who is it going to infect?

Thank you for another fabulous Chapter.

Is Wesley's motive for keeping Spike really out of spite for Buffy, like what Lindsey says? I always thought that he had something more up his sleeves than his 007-like gadgets. So out of character for someone who has always been so calculative and rational even when he so irrationally stole Conner without a backup security or magical tagging.

Looking forward to the next Chapter.

Thanks for the review!

And you are the first reviewer to detect that there might actually be more than what there's seems going on.

Or is there anything to detect? :P

Review of chapter "Familiar Faces in Strange Places" from AllenPitt
Review:
Wesley may not be thinking this whole "Spike" thing through. At some point in time the Council is going to find out about Spike. Giles won't care... but if Buffy finds out, W. is making an enemy, and it's not smart to make enemies unless it gains you something. Not sure how Faith would react to ghost-Spike... but he did save all their asses in Sunnydale. And she of all slayers would be sympathetic to the "reformed killer" type.
Damn, he IS annoying while a ghost, isn't he?
Comments from author:
Wesley is being very petty and stupid, yes.

It's been said before...Cut Lex Luthor a Check. :-)

Never understood why W&H were so bent on world destruction. With all that magical talent at their disposal, why not just eventually *buy* the whole planet with all they money they could make using it?
Comments from author:
I always figured something like that was their real plan.

Arguably the smarter course of action - when she knows in advance that the Council has enough pull to actually get the charges dropped.
