Review of chapter "Chapter One" from fanreaderonetwo
Good Fic!! Glad to see it updated after a _full_ year's silence.

I liked the novels, tho they were a bit sexually sanitized, as required for juvie books.

This female version is a survivor of a less sanitized version, as noted that she killed someone after an intimate encounter, presumably a rape or near rape of her.

I am slightly confused by the placement of the chapters. 6,7,8 being chronologically after #1 but before 2-5...... Things would have clearer if they ran that way rather than flashing back.

Also, I'm surprised the field training staff didn't notice and comment to M on her (very recent, chapter 8) training in _lethal_ unarmed combat from Eddie.
OTOH maybe M had watchers that noted the combat and parkour training and informed M of it.
I wouldn't be surprised if Eddie wasn't a known and approved, if unofficial, instructor for the Service and other official outfits.
Comments from author:
Hi - thanks very much for your review - and I'm sorry about the delay - couldn't be helped, the muse was somewhat elusive!

In relation to your points, yes, this Alex has a traumatic sexual history that I won't be delving into in too much detail, only as far as it touches her relationships going forward.

I admit the chapter placement can be confusing, which is why I have included the date and place headings for each chapter. I am working on the premise that memory/recollection itself is seldom linear, so things don't happen in order.

Just to clarify, this Alex has already killed in the field on a number of occasions but what she is seeking from Eddie is a codified system for doing so. Also the training staff at Monkton know very little of her background, the only people who really do are M and Featherstone, and so the trainers have no basis to judge her. As such they accept her skill base as she presents it to them, so Eddie's additions to her skill set are a default, rather than a surprising addition. M is interested in her progress, but only had a very casual oversight kept on her over the summer, as she is not a security risk. The parkour Alex informed Six of when she joined in September. And Eddie isn't an instructor for Six in any capacity, he was purely a personal contact of Ian Rider's, albeit one with some very specialized skills of his own....Hope that this clears things up and thank you very much for your review, it's always really interesting to see what people think!

Brilliant to see this updated! Still loving the crossover and the unfolding of the story. It isn't for me to say if you should continue to post here, but I will certainly continue to follow this story for as long as you are willing to post, and would love to know if you decide to post elsewhere.

Review of chapter "Chapter 8" from WargamerZero
What a fascinating story. It's quite rare to read something this polished for free. I very much look forward to reading more.
Comments from author:
Thank you so much for your review. The comment about polish is one of the nicest comments I have ever received, because I really try to ensure that anything I post has been re-read and checked to the ninth degree and it's lovely to see that that effort is appreciated. And all I can say is that hopefully it will not be another year before I post! Thanks again.

Very interesting - I know zilch about Alex Rider (male or female {G})) but I do like what you've established. Please do keep writing. :)

Review of chapter "Chapter 8" from jayesh
Over the years, i have read a lot of fanfic and this continues, despite the only having 8 chapter so far, as being right up there. Please continue posting here.

The current chapter meshed very nicely, with the newer one. I would love to see where you go from here.

Very much liking this at the moment. Alex is simultaneously fearsome and fragile, but you make it all work beautifully. That last made me get the sniffles haha. Hope you continue this story!

Review of chapter "Chapter 6" from (Current Donor)kcl
Although I've been delighted with Ian Fleming's James Bond since I first discovered his books back in the early 60's, I know absolutely nothing about Alex Rider or where she comes from. With that said, I think you've done an excellent job of providing enough background and personality for Alex to be a well-defined character for me. I'm also a fan of strong and smart female leads (think David Weber's Honor Harrington), so I'm enjoying this story. You seem to have reached the end of the introduction arc of this story, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing where you take it. Good job!

Review of chapter "Chapter 6" from Ddraig
I love this story, and I have been hoping it would update frequently. I am not familiar with the Rider books, but I am very familiar with the Bond universe, and I think you have the character of it down perfectly. I'm fascinated to see where this will end up, and I love the strength of Alex, which is believable in it's frailty.

I very much hope you continue to update here (and if you don't please let us know where else you post it!).
