Review:
Brilliant, Can't wait for More.

Though curious about two things:
Will Xander future mentor be Leo? I hope so as he'd be good for Xander since he needs someone whose there for him and sees beyond the surface.

And how will Willow react? Since I can't see it being good, as eventually not only will he leave her but he'll have other charges and Willow has for over a 10 years been from her point of view Xander No.1 despite Willow herself relegating him increaseingly to the backburner since Buffy arrived in town.

Thanks for reading I'm so glad to hear you liked it.

As for Xander's future mentor being Leo I am leaning in that direction as you correctly point out Leo would be a good mentor for Xander. Also meeting the Charmed Ones might be good for Xander as well as they won't dismiss him alot of the time in the way people seem to in Buffy.

Willow well not to give to much away for the sequel but she won't nessecarily react that well, especially to the knowledge that Xander is technically dead. I'm thinking she will blame herself for it thinking if she hadn't pushed him onto the backburner to stasify Buffy then he wouldn't have had to fight Jack and his posse on his own but would have been able to get backup. She might even try to use magic to change things which would become her first lesson that magic is not all powerful and there are somethings it cannot do, cannot change no matter how much she might wish it. A lesson she has to learn given how she seems to largely regard magic as a 'make my life easy' 'let me solve everything easy' card to be wielded whenever she runs into even a minor annoyance.

Review:
Nicely done - only thing I would have to mention would be the lack of aging thing, Xander would need to at least age to his mid twenties wouldn't he so that he wouldn't get stuck as a perennial kid?

keep penning and thanks for sharing,
Marns

There is the no aging thing to consider though one of the powers of a whitelighter is to appear as someone else using a glamour so he could always use that to appear older.

My only real problem with this is that their dialogue is too formal and stiff, not sounding like themselves at all but it still a good idea.

Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks as well for the link, while I lost interest in the stories in Pokemon a long time ago I still enjoy the music tracks from the show and its follow up movies.

A good idea although I don't see the point in keeping what he is a secret knowing how Buffy breaks out the angst concerning people who lie to her. Also keeping it secret negates the point of having a whitelighter in the first place due to the inability to render aid in any form, it just makes him an immortal Joe average until he makes a boo-boo. Full whitelighter powers would be too damn useful against the nightlife, healing, teleporting to their charges, levitating, glamoring and generating a holy light. I'd last a day before cocking something up and revealing the secret.
Comments from author:
Thanks for reading.

Xander's only keeping it a secret as in Charmed the Elders seem to prefer that their Whitelighters keep their identities secret from their charges at least at first plus he wants to get used to it himself before he tells the other Scoobies. That being said they know that it isn't going to stay a secret for long as being a Slayer Buffy is attuned to mystical and demonic forces on an instinctual level, she can already tell that something is different about Xander now though at present she's dismissed it as being an effect of exhaustion after the major fight with the Hellmouth beast and the Sisterhood of Jhe. The secret will come out soon enough in the sequel when she continues to sense something odd about Xander, as will Faith and to a lesser degree Oz. Angel as well will also sense a difference though his reaction will be different to the others due to the presence of the blood demon Angelus.

I do agree that full Whitelighter powers will be extremely useful on the Hellmouth - though Xander doesn't yet know how to use them all as the Elders only gave him information on his basic healing and orbing powers. Some of the things he'll figure out on his own others he'll learn when he eventually returns to the Whitelighter Realm for full training in what he is.

I've already begun working on the sequel story hopefully the first chapter will be ready soon.
