Review of chapter "Maggots and Magic Missiles" from Redsfan
Review:
I hope things go well for Xander and Cordelia's romance this time around. That is, if it consists of more than the one kiss.

Review of chapter "Maggots and Magic Missiles" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
So very, very glad that Joyce has taken Faith in! Hopefully this will completely preclude her ever becoming evil. As for the Watcher's Council, Giles would do very, very well to watch his P's and Q's and swear to Joyce under another truth spell that he will never harm Buffy, or allow her to come to harm through his words, actions or inaction.

Also, I noticed that Patrice never expressly said that she would not kill Buffy if she was freed. Good prevarication on her part, not good for Buffy and the gang that no one caught it, especially considering The Big Three would very likely be much impressed if she managed to take out the Slayer and a few others while she was at it.

Well, here's another story that I will be very pleased to see updated in its rotation whenever you have time, opportunity and inspiration! Thank you. :)
Comments from author:
Yeah, that will be a fairly common theme in my stories. I like giving Faith a home.

Giles has become very aware that his relationship with Buffy is in very dangerous waters and that he needs to take immediate steps to prevent someone else to step in and take over.

Patrice is quite good at what she does. She might however, underestimate her opponents...

Review of chapter "Masters and Madmen" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
Nice twist making the female assassin a former potential. I can definitely see why she has it in for Watchers, but I have to wonder why she's so eager to kill a Slayer. Then again, there's no underestimating twisted jealousy, I suppose.

Your Du Lac is a real twisted piece of work, quite loathsome. Which is good, but... Yeah, you know what I mean. :-p

And rats, only one more chapter. I tend to buzz saw through your work, it's always an enjoyable read! Thank you.
Comments from author:
Glad you liked the twist. Interstingly the same actress played the woman who tried to kill Faith in prison...

A heroic story needs a real villain, otherwise what's the point of being a hero. ;-)

I'm working on the next chapter, but so many stories...

Review:
As much as I love hearing that Roger Wyndham-Pryce has received his just reward, I have a really bad feeling that he's definitely going to wind up being Trick's childer. Thankfully, Wesley doesn't seem to be such a stupid git in this story, so hopefully he'll do well and may even, hopefully, get to help take out his sperm donor (sorry, Roger W-P hardly rates even the nominal title of 'Father').

Also, is it too much to hope that Joyce will take in Faith, or that Dr. Dormer will get to Sunnydale in time to keep Faith from going bad? I yelled at my TV so much while watching season 3 of BtVS because all of the regulars were treating Faith so horribly and none of them seemed to be able to see even to the ends of their own noses where she was concerned. I hope you've got something worlds better planned for her in this story.

Thank you for sharing this, I'm really enjoying it. :) Even with the caveats I expressed in a private review, this is still a greatly entertaining story, well told.
Comments from author:
And Watchers as vampires can be very bad news...

Wesley is seeing the world from a different angle before he is sent out on his own to make a place for himself in Watcher History.

Well, as you've already reached that part I won't be giving away anything when I say that yes, Joyce takes her in. ;-) As for Diana, you'll have to wait a little longer to see what will happen there.

Hope the caveats have been resolved?

I dearly love the way you handled the situation with the recruiters who came to see Willow and Oz. I didn't ping on that when I watched the episode, but you're absolutely right! It's beyond creepy and makes me think more of things like the NID than any legitimate corporation.
Comments from author:
Yeah, that scene was really, really creepy when I wathced it for the second time. At least Oz didn't get shot.

As for who's behind it, look up Anderson on the Buffy Wiki...

I'm glad to see that Jenny didn't hold the Eyghon incident against Rupert. Also, I'm looking into the interesting things that people with 'passengers' will be getting up to eventually. I had to laugh at the idea of Jonathan going as Minsc, though.
Comments from author:
Not the Eyghon incident, no. But she won't be too pleased with him later... Nor will many others.

Hey, a guy can dream. Also, I didn't want Larry. ;-)

Review:
Hank Summers?! Oookay, there is a story there that I really want to read! I'm hoping you give a reason somewhere as to why he abandoned Joyce, Buffy and Dawn. Hopefully, it will be a good reason so that he doesn't come off as the complete assclown he usually does.

I've always liked Kendra a lot and wished that she would have survived. This little bit, however, made me love her! She reminds me so very much of both my biological daughter and me:

"“You explained to me the working of a radio telescope. And then you explained to me the working of a microphone. And you took me to the library and they have dictionaries and encyclopaedias.”"

I've always had a very strong sense of curiosity and was exceedingly lucky in that my parents bought me a set of encyclopaedias when I was a child. It was not at all uncommon for me to go to look up one thing, only to be sucked in and start following the 'see _ article' bits at the end and start pulling volumes out one by one, skipping from linked article to linked article, until I had very nearly the entire set laid out around me on the living room floor and several hours had passed while I had been gleefully reading. My biological daughter is the very same way. And after reading all of these things and gaining collective knowledge, 'intuitive leaps' that seem to be incredible intelligence to others become simply a matter of putting the attained knowledge together and extrapolating. Go Kendra!

Thank you so much for this story. :)

Edit the third and last (hopefully). For some reason, Marcie Ross popped into my mind when you mentioned invisible assassins and here she is. I'm looking forward to finding out where she has been and who she's working for. My guess would be the CIA, NID or Wolfram and Hart and possibly a combination of any of these. Thank you again!
Comments from author:
The reason Hank Summers abandoned his family is still the same. This is a different Hank Summers. I took the first name from a protagonist in this series:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeons_and_Dragons_(TV_series)

And tacked on a last name.

I felt that Kendra could have been given a lot more depth in the canon series, so I like giving her a chance in my stories. I'm glad you enjoy this (slightly different) version from LS. And that you can identify with her.

Excellent, that was just what I was hoping for. As for her (former) employers, we'll get into that later...

Review:
Poor Joyce. I'm glad that she's in the know and taking better care of Buffy, but I really wish that she hadn't had to stake Ford. But she's right, it was good that someone staked Ford who actually cared for who he used to be and that it didn't have to be Buffy.

On the positive side, I love that Joyce has Éowyn now! Interesting that the characters from Halloween aren't just memories, but actual presences in the minds of the Sunnydale group. I have to wonder how that is going to play out...

Thank you for sharing. :)
Comments from author:
Yes, I thought her not realising what was going on for so long was taking suspension of non belief a bit too far. I rather liked Ford, in a strange way. Here, Joyce wants to protect Buffy when she can. This was one thing she could do for both her and Ford.

I rather enjoy writing the different viewpoints of the mind passengers. Glad you like reading it.

Poetic indeed to use William Brigham's name for the bad guy here.

Hmm...now all three of the chosen slayers are alive and well! Life is definitely going to be interesting for all of them, I'm sure. I'm really glad that I stumbled into this story. Thank you!
Comments from author:
I tend to do that with lots of nastier people in history.

I fear that they will live in interesting times, yes...

Nice new playmate they have, hope they are carefull around her.

Interesting group Harmony has forming, should be interesting how they react to the nightlife Sunnydale has.

Good story looking forward to youre next chapter.
Comments from author:
They sure won't trust her...

They are by now quite aware what is out there. After all Amy is involved and the passnegers accept things like this a lot more easily.

Review of chapter "Maggots and Magic Missiles" from (Current Donor)Cordyfan
Review:
Great chapter. Norman Pfister is clearly going to be harder to deal with in this story than in canon. And with Cordy's bug phobia, obviously the same method won't be applied this time (or certainly not including her). It remains to be seen if this Xander-Cordy brief moment will turn into a fully-fledged romance. Certainly Xander's inner Halloween voice is a good match in snark for her.

"Windbag-Prick" - highly apt for Wesley at this stage of his life. Giles can't yet seem to see the wood for the trees, recognising that much of what the Council does is wrong, but still unable to see that the whole system is tainted. If he doesn't realise soon, at best he'll find himself frozen out by the others. Still, I think there's hope for him.

In the Joyce and Faith scene, I'm wondering how much of that was Joyce and how much was Eowyn, given how quickly she brought Faith into line. And I'm not sure that she wouldn't set loose her inner lady of Rohan on that Tarakan assassin. Part of me would like to see the latter going after the Council, actually.

I hope Cordy gives herself a good head start, after mentioning "putting out" to Dawn, because Joyce isn't going to be pleased!

Thanks for writing this
Comments from author:
Well I found the Tarakans rather lacking as foes who were supposed to be awesome...

I can see Cordy going heavy on the valium and then going nuts on Pfister. Vengeance, thy name is Cordelia Chase... As for romance, well...

Both Wesley and his father are rather annoying really. Giles will need to think about what an organisation like the Council should be, and if he wants to be a part of what it is now.

I think a good bit of both. Joyce could quite firmly lay down the law when she saw the need, but Éowyn is more forceful in her actions.

Joyce might just take the decision from Buffy and let Patrice go...

Cordy will probably get a long lesson on how to baby sit and Buffy one on how to select a babysitter.

Review:
Okay, I'm intrigued.
I've never been a big fan of the Watcher's Council anyway because there's something wrong with anybody who bases a board of directors off one little girl fighting evil. So I'm quite willing to consider them as villains, especially as it is becoming clear that some of them aren't. And I like the group dynamic with the folks from the Gate. Still, it's the potential rather than the actual that makes them interesting. And it's easy to see that you at least are taking the high ground with Cordelia and the Cordettes. Harmony is nowhere near the stereotype she usually appears to be (although to be fair the actress playing her got quite of bit of work out of the character). Willow and Xander have always been favorites of mine so I am always interested in their interaction. So, I guess I'll be back. See ya.
Comments from author:
The Watchers' Council started of as good guys in my book, if a bit hide-bound. Then came the Cruciamentum and various other things and really, I couldn't call them good guys anymore, just hidebound and stupid. Even if they can't go toe to toe with vampires, their support system seems massively skewed towards the status quo for the Watchers.
