Review:
I'm really enjoying this.

Nice to see Joyce getting involved.
And nice to see her making sensible suggestions regarding training and fitness.
Very sensible.

I look forward to more :)

Glad you like it.

Joyce, now she knows and has the background, would not stand aside.

Review:
Nice new playmate they have, hope they are carefull around her.

Interesting group Harmony has forming, should be interesting how they react to the nightlife Sunnydale has.

Good story looking forward to youre next chapter.
Comments from author:
They sure won't trust her...

They are by now quite aware what is out there. After all Amy is involved and the passnegers accept things like this a lot more easily.

Review of chapter "Maggots and Magic Missiles" from Cordyfan
Review:
Great chapter. Norman Pfister is clearly going to be harder to deal with in this story than in canon. And with Cordy's bug phobia, obviously the same method won't be applied this time (or certainly not including her). It remains to be seen if this Xander-Cordy brief moment will turn into a fully-fledged romance. Certainly Xander's inner Halloween voice is a good match in snark for her.

"Windbag-Prick" - highly apt for Wesley at this stage of his life. Giles can't yet seem to see the wood for the trees, recognising that much of what the Council does is wrong, but still unable to see that the whole system is tainted. If he doesn't realise soon, at best he'll find himself frozen out by the others. Still, I think there's hope for him.

In the Joyce and Faith scene, I'm wondering how much of that was Joyce and how much was Eowyn, given how quickly she brought Faith into line. And I'm not sure that she wouldn't set loose her inner lady of Rohan on that Tarakan assassin. Part of me would like to see the latter going after the Council, actually.

I hope Cordy gives herself a good head start, after mentioning "putting out" to Dawn, because Joyce isn't going to be pleased!

Thanks for writing this
Comments from author:
Well I found the Tarakans rather lacking as foes who were supposed to be awesome...

I can see Cordy going heavy on the valium and then going nuts on Pfister. Vengeance, thy name is Cordelia Chase... As for romance, well...

Both Wesley and his father are rather annoying really. Giles will need to think about what an organisation like the Council should be, and if he wants to be a part of what it is now.

I think a good bit of both. Joyce could quite firmly lay down the law when she saw the need, but Éowyn is more forceful in her actions.

Joyce might just take the decision from Buffy and let Patrice go...

Cordy will probably get a long lesson on how to baby sit and Buffy one on how to select a babysitter.

Review:
Okay, I'm intrigued.
I've never been a big fan of the Watcher's Council anyway because there's something wrong with anybody who bases a board of directors off one little girl fighting evil. So I'm quite willing to consider them as villains, especially as it is becoming clear that some of them aren't. And I like the group dynamic with the folks from the Gate. Still, it's the potential rather than the actual that makes them interesting. And it's easy to see that you at least are taking the high ground with Cordelia and the Cordettes. Harmony is nowhere near the stereotype she usually appears to be (although to be fair the actress playing her got quite of bit of work out of the character). Willow and Xander have always been favorites of mine so I am always interested in their interaction. So, I guess I'll be back. See ya.
Comments from author:
The Watchers' Council started of as good guys in my book, if a bit hide-bound. Then came the Cruciamentum and various other things and really, I couldn't call them good guys anymore, just hidebound and stupid. Even if they can't go toe to toe with vampires, their support system seems massively skewed towards the status quo for the Watchers.

Delighted to see another update and would encourage the dropping of nondtantard grammer to denote thoughts and such. There is no need for it, you can manage without it.
I look forward to Eric's conversation with Cordelia.
Comments from author:
In this story the trouble is all the telepathy between the characters and their internal guests.

Review:
So loving this story!

Yeah, too bad they didn't have a SMALL fireball for Norman.

I think that there is a new tutor in the violent arts in Giles' closet. Order Patrice to train her students to the best of her ability as her own apprentices expected to become masters of disaster. To be civil and not to even think of them badly. (Conditioning) Light Side Apprentices (expected not to try to kill the master)

I'm guessing that the new casting classes are Level 1 (I hate leveled RPGs (although I will play them if nothing better is available) even though their possessors were higher. As for loot, some of it might be in the form of things they don't want to do, like skin the dead guys, extract salable organs, etc. (GP in loot as condensed actions) Maybe collect bounties?

Yeah, the WC is fulla a-holes.
Comments from author:
It would have been nice, but all the Commoners would have died too...

The power doensn't extend that far, I fear. Having a murderer on a leash is still very dangerous...

The inner D&D'ers are going to be a trifle upset by the lack of loot. None of them were very powerful, in game you can get to Dynaheir and free her at second/third level.

Good chapter. I wonder what will happen when the two D&D Partys - or members thereof - meet up. Poor Giles.

yeah, Giles needs to decide real fast whose side he's on. I like this version of Joyce.
great chapter, thanks
Comments from author:
Indeed. A bit earlier than in canon, before things get out of hand... Joyce and Éowyn are a winning team, I'd say.

Review:
I'd say poor Giles but I'm not sure he's not getting anything his organization doesn't deserve. Too bad he can't reach out to Dr. Dormer to try and get himself back in Faith's (and therefore Joyce's) good graces but I think that avenue has been cut off by the council as well.

And I'm becoming quite intrigued by the little "D&D group" that's forming outside the library. If it's anything like the groups I've played in in the past they are going to be quite unhappy about the distinct lack of loot upon completion of their quest.
Comments from author:
I was never entirely sure if the lower echelon Watchers even knew where the others lived or conteacted them unless on extremis (like Kendra showing up in Sunnydale)

LEWT!! There's going to be trouble with some members, yes...

Great section, and really enjoyed the interrogation of Patrice, and some uncomfortable stuff coming out that Giles wouldn't have wanted to see happen, as well as the girls and gang get ready to set foot into danger again, just hope that the danger is less prepared than they will be.
Comments from author:
Yes, I was unsure how hard I should be on the watchers, (and Giles) but after making a list of their actions, well...

As for the girls and danger, well, danger might as well be Faith's middle name.

Review of chapter "Masters and Madmen" from Starfox
Review:
Very good chapter - Humor, Action, and Drama. Loved Dawn's antics, and Cordelia as her babysitter was great fun. Same for Willow meeting Faith. Patrice getting interrogated after Faith told Buffy about the darker side of the Watchers has a lot of potenial too. And Spike is great with DuLac.
Comments from author:
Thank you. Ten year old Dawn is wonderfully liberating to write (Hence I include her so often in my work) Poor Cordelia, her first job ever and baptised in the fires of the sun.

I'm taking a lot of time to deal with these two episodes. I hope that I can speed things up soon with the next episodes and arcs.

Glad you like the gruesome twosome.

Review:
A great chapter, with a lot going on.

DuLac has the makings of a very interesting and potentially dangerous Big Bad, even in the absence of Spike and Drusilla.

Cordelia sitting Dawn was really funny - she didn't have a clue what she was letting herself in for, either with Dawn or the Bug Man. Good to see that she has a healthy fear of both Joyce and Buffy (though she'd probably never admit to the latter).

This Angel seems even more stupid than the canon version, if that's possible.

Looking forward to seeing how things work out with Patrice.

Thanks for writing this.
Comments from author:
Thanks. DuLac is a mad scientist. They're wonderful as Big Bads.

Poor Cordelia, scarred for life. And with the elder Summerses after her, scared for life too...

Angel does tend to show overconfidence whiledealing with Spike I noticed.

Well, Joyce is going to take her on a date and there probably will be kissing involved. ;-)
