Review of chapter "The Modern Prometheus" from (Past Donor)Jewel
Review:
I only have vague memories of the Bionic Woman stuff from back in the mists of time - so nice to see it making a comeback here.
Comments from author:
The same for me. I watched some bits on Youtube to get it back, and read Wikipedia. I'm not going to buy the series, it's a little steep for a bit of nostalgia.

Thanks and thanks for reviewing

Review of chapter "The Modern Prometheus" from Eureka
Review:
This one would be a great one to continue in it's own story line.

So when you gonna make more?
Comments from author:
Thanks, I like it too.

Let me see... I want to get back in the groove of W&S. That is still my main series and it has been sadly neglected. I also need to finish the next installment of A house in order and the next Oh Ye of Little Faith and the finishing touches on the next When the Autumn leaves are turning story...

So um... Unless the inspiration strikes me hard, it will be a while I fear.

Review:
this still has a lot of potential. catching crazy Maggie early could save a lot of lives. maybe Joyce can deprogram Giles.
great job, thanks
Comments from author:
Thanks. Helping Crazy Maggie might have interesting consequences as well. And deprogramming Giles before he f’s up in Helpless, yes. That would be good.

Review of chapter "Spark Plug" from starwolf
Review:
I really liked this one, it would be interesting to see how the girl genius scooby group would fight vampires.
great story, thanks
Comments from author:
My thought as well, but alas, I need to work to eat, so lack the time to write…

Review of chapter "Once a thief" from starwolf
Review:
not a bad little short. Amanda needs a spanking of sorts badly. it was a shame they choose her to do the spin off out of 3 or 4 pilots in the main show. to have her go from running from every sword on the planet, to taking heads each week was just crap. how long will Joyce keep her working off her debt?
thanks for the story
Comments from author:
I’m not sure if any of them would have worked, but Amanda couldn’t carry the show on her own. Methos could have of course… And about as long as she spent locked up herself…

Review of chapter "Career suggestions" from ShalaDakiri
Review:
After reading Chapter 12, can I make another Lee Majors-based suggestion: The Fall Guy.

Joyce could either be a stunt woman or a bounty hunter (or take a page from Majors' character and do both). Be interesting if Buffy grew up on stunts and special effects.
Comments from author:
You can. But I'll admit I hadn't heard about it until just before I posted the chapter. (When looking up Lee Majors) Never saw it, which makes it difficult for me to write and episode availability isn't good where I live.

Thanks, and thanks for reviewing!

Review of chapter "The Modern Prometheus" from kalahari
Review:
There are such interesting possibilities with Joyce owning and redoing the Bronze and the area around:
1)
When I visited the US South West in 1999, one town had a system to create a water fog over the sidewalk (as an outside AC).
If the humidity is low enough, a fog based air condition is very energy efficient, compared with a normal system.
Use of that sort of system with holy water in the pipes, around the block, in all entrances and at strategic locations inside :-)
2)
For a complete renovation of the block, all underground sewage pipes can be replaced by pipes of 20cm diameter or less.
No more underground motorway.
3)
A binary anti vampire fluid put into drinks in the bronze. Problem is who gets which component. Suck one person, nothing happens, Suck a second person with the other half of the binary fluid, a vampire spontanuosly combusts five to fifteen minutes after drinking from the second person.

Regards
Comments from author:
True, true.

1)California might be too humid for it, I don't know. I shall have to ask on the forums. But some sort of system might be devised anyway.
2) That might be a very wise thing to do, yes
3) Still would kill two people. Interesting, but I doubt Joyce would go for it. ;-) And I have no idea what the fluid would have to be.

Thanks, and thanks for reviewing!

Review of chapter "The Modern Prometheus" from SpacedCadet
Review:
This could lead to all sorts of complications: Buffy dating the Bionic Boy or with the Bionic Dog as her sidekick/pet.

Lots of fun!
Comments from author:
Heh. Buffy and her bionic dog? I think he's dead by the way. Though maybe Buffy has memories of playing with him. And suddenly realises not all dogs can do what he did...

Thanks, and thanks for reviewing!

Review of chapter "The Modern Prometheus" from Cordyfan
Review:
A good story, which could certainly lead into a longer piece. I haven't seen Joyce as Jaime Sommers in a crossover, but with her as its owner, the Bronze will probably become a much safer place and perhaps Buffy will receive some proper support. I don't see Angel lasting for long here - Joyce/Jaime might well stake him herself, if she doesn't hear a heartbeat or breathing...

Thanks for writing this.
Comments from author:
Thanks. Like so many shorts in this series, yes. And I wish I had the time. Angel probably won't last long, no. Joyce will certainly not approve of him... certainly not as a boyfriend.

Very interesting job on the chapter, I can't wait to read more, continue updating as you are.

-Any idea when you are going to update "Knight in Shining armour" and/or "A House In Order"?
Comments from author:
Thank you. Next in line are some other stories. Though I just wrote ten pages for KiSA today and one for House. So hopefully farily soon...

Review of chapter "The Modern Prometheus" from asqwerth
Review:
Now THIS storyline/chapter is one I would love to see continued.

I've always loved the original Bionic Woman - it was very different from most of the action series of that period because Jaime was never an out-and-out action hero. The stories were always warmer and more people-centred than most; certainly more so than Six Million Dollar Man (although I followed that as well).

And you're right - the new series didn't work.

Lindsay Wagner is the one and only Jaime Sommers!
Comments from author:
Heh. One of many.;-) Yes, she was an extra ordinary character for that era. (For this one too.)

True and ture. Though I know also see Kristine Sutherland.

Review of chapter "Accountability" from lunalurker
Review:
Such a simple change, but managed to spin out so interestingly! Loved the age-appropriate subtext and angst, and not just because B/W is one of my favorite nonstandard ships.
And I'll take well drawn and spoken characters over "excitement" any day.
Comments from author:
Yeah, just a little shift in perception. I rather enjoyed writing the B?W subtext. It was fun. Glad you enjoyed it. Oddly enough I can't see if you ever reviewed any of my "That the autumn leaves were turning" series. You might like that even if the crosses are obscure and mostly British.

Review:
This could be the start of one of the best Buffy / Harry Potter crossovers *ever*. I sorta love every little thing about it.
Once again, it feels almost criminal how under-used Joyce was in the show, compared to these wonderful alternate realities.
Comments from author:
Thanks, that's a very nice compliment. Like the Faith cross it was fun to write. And Joyce was underused. Glad you're enjoying these.
