This is such a gripping, entertaining story. I can't wait to read more!

You've killed Jack Ryan? Now you've gone too far.

James Bond takes a bullet for M and regenerates to the blond version (child of the Tardis).
M winds up saving him.
Comments from author:
I'll be honest I find Tom Clancy's books way too preachy
for my taste.

Thanks for the review.

Review:
In my previous review I queried as to the probability of a Council-led counterattack. To clarify, I was asking about the likelihood of a counterassault on more of a strategic level?

Edit/Reply: Well, I was thinking that when you said that you were referring to a full-scale counteroffensive. You may be right in that a Supernatural Cold War may be preferable to facing the next and possibly a greater threat. ..
Comments from author:
Such as?

It's strange, but I imagine W&H will be really upset about the $6 billion theft. Like the Council isn't playing fair or something. It's going to hurt much worse than that, as all their other clients are going to wonder why they should stick with them. Not to mention when it becomes common knowledge that W&H has started a big for supreme power; any client not part of that will want out, permanently. This is now do or die for W&H in this dimension.
Comments from author:
Yep, W&H are playing for the highest stakes.

Thanks for the review.

Only Faith could cause Harry Dresden to blush. And it's good to see that Big Red is still in the game and still quick with a quip. Now how much more of this has to go on before the good guys get together for a big counteroffensive?
Comments from author:
Next chapter it starts.

Thanks for the review.

Nice to see you're following up on the BPRD segment of this tale. As for stealing W&H's money, I think it's fairly safe to say thy all's fair in love and war.

Update soon?
Comments from author:
Yeah, W&H are going to get it from all sides! Mind you, they're going to be giving it too.

As for an update, there's 3 or 4 in the pipeline before the end of the year.

Thanks for the review.

Review:
I like that Giles is already planning missions to strike back at W&H once he makes sure it's them... they've been on the defensive from the start, taking hits, etc. Good thing they had a fallback refuge, but you don't win wars by forting up. Hopefully payback time is coming soon...
Comments from author:
At least he's got plenty of resources to fall back on.

Thanks for the review.

Bases are loaded, and everyone's looking to the next phase of this campaign. Oh, I so love a good bull session, especially when it comes to battle strategy.
Comments from author:
The battles aren't quite here yet, but it'll be hectic when they come.

Review of chapter "8" from Ghostrider
Review:
Yeah, Ethan screwed up again. This whole war? Is going from two-sided to three and number three is going to hit all of the other sides like a sledgehammer, isn't it?

Looking forward to what you are planning. Sad to see the Harvelles taken out but I'm betting there is going to be a lot of that going around.
Comments from author:
Let's just say Ethan's finally what he always wanted to be.
A wild card.

Never that keen on the Charmed Ones as a show, a concept etc,
so they served a purpose as big-name causalities.

Thanks for the review.

Review:
Damn, and we were all hoping Catherine Madison would make it through. Very popular character. Ok...maybe not. Still, fooling around with Old Ones is not exactly a smart ploy. Now they've woken one up, maybe many more to follow. Ouch.
Comments from author:
Worse. Imagine if one's army was still intact and waiting for their master's
return?

Thanks for the review.

Morgoth: Dammit boy, I told you to stop messing around with that Hellboy sonofabitch, that stone hand of his can mess you up something pretty...

Balrog: Sorry pop, I didn't know he was fireproof...
Comments from author:
Yep, he's the one guy a Balrog doesn't want to go one on one with.

Review of chapter "6" from DarthTenebrus
Review:
With the Armageddon Protocol enacted, was there any sort of contingency plan for those who somehow ended up out of contact? Is there any way that they could or would be permitted to render aid to those in trouble? Unless I'm mistaken the Protocol is meant to save as many lives as possible and ensure the continuity of the human species.

Also, at each location where explosives were supposedly used, what is coordinating the attacks against every strongpoint for the defense of humanity? It's understood that the Council is the primary target, and its annihilation the Senior Partners' ultimate goal, but their plan of attack seems to be somewhat less surgical than expected and does not take into account what collateral damage might be inflicted or what non-combatant casualties would occur, since this initially is supposed to be a secret war. Perhaps because they still intend to unleash an apocalypse, would this truly not matter to them? Hubris eventually brings about one's downfall. It felled Rome, Washington, Baghdad, Berlin...the list goes on. This plan of the Senior Partners stinks of hubris.
Comments from author:
The Armageddon Protocol is the Council's version of the mob's
going to the mattress, meaning it's their regrouping. Anybody
out of touch but aware of the Protocol can use the same method
of entry that Xander did. And the base is a two-way thing, you can
both leave and enter. Now the Council is grouped together, they
can plan to strike back.

Thanks for the review.

Robson, take the gun, leave the canolli..

LOL

Yes, I do believe they have invoked the mattress clause of the Watcher's Council charter. A question actually did occur to me as to why Giles decided to inform national governments as to the scope of the demonic threat, but keep that decision secret from his fellow Watchers?
Comments from author:
LOL.

Review:
Overall I like the story, I just got snagged on one thing in chapter 4.

"a half a dozen twin-scimitar wielding, ebony-skinned figures with bright white hair and staring lilac eyes"

You described one of a small number of not evil Drow. Did they clone Drizzt Do'Urden?
Comments from author:
As far as I was aware, white hair and lilac eyes were a Drow race characteristic.

Like black Africans and white-skinned Norse.

Thanks for the review.
