Review of chapter "Storm's end" from DieselDriver
Review:
Love that ending. Hope it's temporary.
Comments from author:
There will be more stories, though they're not being written as fast as I'd like.

Thanks and thanks for reviewing

Once again you leave a cliffhanger lightened with humor at the end of the chapter. That's a really nice touch.

Thank you, I do my best. Thanks for reviewing

Review of chapter "Chapter 9" from DieselDriver
Review:
Well, that was a pretty vile chapter. Nice to end it with a funny line like that. I appreciate it. It lightened the mood considerably. I know things are bad but that is a very good way to tell the story.
Comments from author:
There's a lot of darkness in the world, I fear. And I didn't want to end the chapters on dark notes every time.

Review of chapter "The Heir of Slytherin" from DieselDriver
Review:
I guess I was pretty much expecting Giles to be bad but I thought it would have been taken over mentally rather than evil himself. The juxtaposition of roles in this story with Ethan and the others with Giles is really quite interesting. I don't think I've seen Ethan as a "sort of" good guy before. Great fun so far.
Comments from author:
Ah, but the story is not yet done...

Ethan has his limits. It just took a while to find them.

Review of chapter "Storm's end" from Eureka
Review:
Would be grand if you could do at least part of the trails since Giles is one of them that shall be on trial. I really want to know if he is going to be found wanting or if he is going to be ended. Since even in canon there ere times he could be a berk I kinda do wonder if he would be found to have been fully imperiled or if he kinda already had it in hi to hurt them all. Andrew always has been two sided about things.
Comments from author:
The trials will be partly written, and some more stuff as well. I’m concentrating on LS/W&S now however, so it may be a while…

Review:
I had no idea when I first read "One Beautiful Morning" that it would culminate with an excellent, LONG story like this. (Yes, I know there's one more, but this as far as I've gotten.)

I might have laid off on the use of "stated" and how everyone came back or was secretly not evil, but you pulled it off well and I thoroughly enjoyed the piece.

Great work.
Comments from author:
Thank you. It wasn’t supposed to be this long, I admit. But it was needed.

I though, their lives are dark enough, I can add a little light. Yes, the stateds. Some you win…

Review:
Sometimes it is annoying that you can only recommend a story once.
Often in fiction, when a marriage between worlds results in a wave of actual marriages after the big battle, it grates horribly. To have made it all come together in ways that feel deserved and rewarding and adorable, instead of feeling either bolted-on or teeth-aching artificial sweet overdose, takes a lot of skill and feeling for the characters. Everything in the climaxes and aftermaths came together beautifully.
Breezing through the reviews shows that anything else I can think of to say right now has already been well covered, so I will leave it at that. Once again, from a big fan, thanks very much for writing. :)

p.s. I still want my own Albert!
Comments from author:
Isn't it, just? And they lived happily ever after tends to need work. Glad this was a believable way of doing it. Of course we'll deal with more future events in the sequels.

Gladly done. And actually, I want one myself...

Review of chapter "Storm's end" from Greywizard
Review:
I was just re-reading this - yet again, because it's just so enjoyable ;-) - and I realized that I hadn't reviewed this chapter, so I'm correcting that oversight.

This story is simply wonderful, and I enjoyed every aspect of it. (Except for the Snape bits, since I despise the character completely. However, it's your story, so you get to write the way you want, and the rest of the story more than compensates for his inclusion.)

If you're still tabulating votes, I'd like to see a story focusing on at least part of the trials - especially Giles' and Andrew's trials, or at least the aftermath of them, with the consequences of their behavior spelled out.

I very much liked your having Ethan point out to Faith just how much the Scoobies must appreciate her, if they're willing to put up with re-ensouling him and allowing him remain among the living for her sake.

And I *definitely* want to see more of Ethan embarrassing Faith with his comments, comparisons and contrasts of their respective sex lives. ;-)

I'm looking forward to seeing the societal toilet that is the Wizarding World which JKR gave us being flushed several times due to the Scoobies' influence, and a new social order being established, since even an overtly cannibalistic society would be an immense improvement over what currently exists. ;-(

In any event, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what's coming next in the series, and I want to say thanks for sharing this 'verse with us.
Comments from author:
Thank you. Snape isn't everyubody's cup of tea, though he has at least many redeeming features as Dumbledore, who gets a lot better press...;-)

One more vote for the trials. You'll have to wait a bit, it will be part of the story after the next one, which I will start posting next Saturday.

Yup, Ethan has his moments. He also has his uses and he isn't completely Dark, he can cast a patronus.

The Wizards will have a shake-up, yes. They didn't have the excision and beheading needed in such circumstances, but they also lack the people to replace the ones that would have to be removed. Much like Germany and Japan after WWII.

As said, the next installment will be up next Saturday. I hope you enjoy that too.

Thanks for reviewing

Nice ending! Still, a few loose Ends to tie off at the Trials, which I hope you'll write as well.

Thank you, glad you liked it. One of the first things written for the story actually. And vote thirteen!

Review:
A great conclusion to this story, with rewards and just desserts in equal measure. It remains to be seen how much of Giles actually needed to be controlled and how much of him only required slight manipulation. Ethan needs to know that Faith's dad or not, he's on his last warning. I wouldn't mind adding my vote for the trials, by the way.

At least Buffy also has her man, safe and sound, and the various Ministries are on notice to clear up their act, or else.

Thanks for writing this.
Comments from author:
Thank you. Every man is made up out of many things and in some ways it might have been easier than in others. That remains to be seen. Ethan is well aware that he's a hair's breadth away from a Scything.

Another vote for the trials.

Buffy got her man, yup. And the Ministries had better step carefully and clean out the fertilizer post haste.

Thanks and thanks for reviewing

Review:
Really enjoyed the story. Very much liked how Buffy made it clear that the slaps on the wrist that the wizarding world had given out in the past would not be tolerated.

Very curious as to what Gile's ultimate fate is. Would be interesting to see what everyone's lives are like a couple of years down the road.
Comments from author:
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. There will be two more stories at least in this series, though probably not as long as this one, and one that will be a series of vignettes set at different times in the further future.

I shall note you down a vote for the trials then?

Thanks and thanks for reviewing

Review:
Decent wrap-up of a GREAT, unique collection of fics that, while good on their own, really shine once it becomes clear they're all coming together.
My heart breaks for the poor legitimate Watchers, like Giles, but at least you addressed them. Ditto for poor Faith, who would have been damaged so much by the communication-breakdown-isolating spell, and while I dearly wanted to see her friends apologize for letting her down, you saved it by Ethan pointing out that they value her and making her grin. That and the Weasley's might be a natural cure en masse.

Wouldn't mind seeing more at all, would like it a bunch - the stuff with Luna's skills at Watcher Central was uniquely clever. But most important is to keep writing and FINISH what you do, like here. Thanks for that.
Comments from author:
Thank you. One reason I didn't write them as a single story, I wanted the focus very definitely on the seperate Scoobies and their partners.

Faith will still get a lot of apologies, but that is for a later date. Ron's family will certainly make up for a lot of things she missed.

Actually, there is one story written, one in the process, and one planned. Upon reflection I think that the one being written may include the trials.

So not finished as a series, yet...

Thanks and thanks for reviewing

Great story. I'm not so much interested in the trials but more in who was caught.
Comments from author:
Thank you. I shall nevertheless put you down as a vote, since that isn't covered in the current line up.
