Review of chapter "Off to see the Wizard..." from borgrabbit

Haiku dirge:

Shame the story's dead
Be nice to see where it led
Your muse—has it fled

Really, this has the potential for a nice story worth reading. It would be interesting to see the interaction between Willow and the channelers of the One Power.

Ciao, ya'll.

Aww, I'm about five years too late. I would LOVE to know how much Willow and Faith could cock up the weavings of the Wheel.

For what it's worth, these first five chapters cracked me up, and I was sad to see this end up an apparently abandoned story.

Review:
Does this take place in book 5. I remember a similar scene when Elayne and Nyaneve when into a village in Amador where there were whitecloaks. It would be something if they joined that group someway and they ended up going to Salidar with them, especially if the slayers have an immunity to the one power. This story is really good so please update it.

Now that we know you're like alive cause you posted that other story how about giving this one some love. :)
Comments from author:
It's in the works, I swear! Coming back to a story after such a long time feels a bit rusty though.

Review:
I know it's been over two years since it's been updated, so the chances are probably slim to none, but I'd love to see any more work you've got done on this.

I was kind of leery at first... too much talking to trees, (Though a few of the lines -- especially the whole ‘large skulky tree that’s planning something’, ‘small crooked tree with an agenda’, ‘medium kind of tree that keeps looking at me’ darn near made Pepsi come out of my nose.) but once they finally got to town and met the Whitecloaks ("Go light!" *lol*) I was starting to really get into the fic. Unfortunately for me, that was the last chapter.

I'd love to see more... especially the Slayer meeting the Aiel (Can you see Faith and Avihenda sparring?!) Maybe Willow becoming an apprentice to the Wise Ones? Or maybe topless, as a Windfinder on one of the Atha'an Miere ships. lol. I know that the White Tower is the obvious choice, but I think that they'd probably end up locking her up once they see her do magic but *can't see* the weaves of her channeling. (Especially if Elaida is the Amyrlin Seat in your fic.)

There are very few WoT/BtvS crossovers, but this looks like one of the better ones. Any chance you will update it soon?

Review:
grate story, specifically the characterizations on faith and willow are exlent. willow in particular vary nice she is neither uber powerful(kind of an official canon Mary sue) nor suddenly completely useless. also you seam to have a real good handle on the world of the wheel, love your maddrayl.

one thing worry’s me though the fic wrights up now says that this is a completed fic? are there going to be any more chapters
Comments from author:
Hmm, I've checked the details in my Useraccount and it says that it is set to incomplete. No, this fic is in no way finished and should hopefully be updated within the week. I agree, Willow is just Willow...I don't like erring from canon and try to keep everything is realistic as possible (she said writing a BtVS/WoT crossover...)

I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this story yet. It's fun to see something set in the WoT 'verse, although I have to admit I am very rusty when it comes to those books. Your Faith and Willow are both very in-character, and I just love their interactions.
Comments from author:
Ah thank you muchly. They strike me as some of the only characters who quite genuinely don't like each other and probably never will.

Uh oh,outed as a Potter fan.Faith will never live it down. :-)
Comments from author:
Dreadful isn't it? I wouldn't be at all surprised if right at this very moment she's plotting to bury Willow in a shallow grave so the terrible truth will never come out.

Hi:
I have just read your fic and I have laught a lot. The Willow/Faith relationship is very amusing and till the moment you have done well with Jordan´s world.
Will we see others Scoobies in this fic? After all, they have the key.
One thing I really don´t get it is why Buffy would take Andrew with her in her holidays? It would be really interesting if they have come to this world too. The Buffy/Andrew thing would be as good as the Willow/Faith.
About Faith´s dreams: the Dragon was hurting his side: is that because the injured that Rand has from Falme and later from Padan Fain? And is the bat-like creature a Draghkar?
In another WOT crossover(sorry, I don´t remember the name) the author said that the Dark One and the First were the same Is it like that in your fic?
One last thing: Do you know where to find Buffy/WOT crossovers? I have only seen 2 others till now, both unfinished.
Great work.
Comments from author:
Thanks. No, I really am not planning on bringing more Scoobies into this story and where ever possible try to follow canon, in which Dawn isn't some uberpowerful dimension hopper, she's just Dawn. I don't get why Buffy would take Andrew with her either, but she clearly did 'cos we see him staying at her apartment in Rome on Angel. In all honesty Buffy bores me so you won't be seeing her in many of my fics. Uhm, the dragon injuring himself is less a reference to his injury (though it is in the right place) than to the fact that he's fighting himself and pulling himself apart. And yes, you are the only person who recognised the Draghkar.
No, the First and the Dark One aren't the same, but i'm sure they're aquainted with one another and occasionally meet for tea and fashion tips.
Nope, I haven't read any other WoT/Buffy crossovers, that's why I'm writing this one.
Hope that answered all of your questions.

Funny and interesting chapter! Poor Faith, Willow is sooo evil. *grin*
Have the villagers not heard Willow's screaming?
Good of Faith to spot the white coats (were they so called?). "Go light!" Lol!
When will Faith get some weapons? You can't let her go around without any, she would get wriggly. ;-)
Can't await the next chapter and their impression on the villagers. :-)

PS:
I don't get the title of the chapter, "Off to see the Wizard...".
Comments from author:
Thanks...uhm, they were too far away to hear them. Faith will get weapons when she gets them, though I don't think she really needs any, afterall, a Slayer is a weapon unto herself...and the "Off to see the Wizard" is a reference to the Wizard of Oz.
