The not so "Silent Space Meeting."
Chapter 2. The not so "Silent Space Meeting."
Location: Some where in the Axis -5 (The Battlefield) Solar System--between the Transgalactic Empire and the Free World Council.
In Space they say that no one can hear you scream. Too bad this wasn't strictly speaking outer space but virtual space. Xander signed again as he thought about the can of worms he opened up with that open ended question.
He wished he could go back in time and kick himself for even asking it. "Any questions?" as a result he was starting to to develop a virtual headache as everyone decided that yes they do had a question, and they all decided to ask at the same time.
That was almost five minutes ago and they were still going strong. The only reason that he had not put a stop to it yet was because this was the first time they had to really let out any steam in private.
Any minute now he was going to put a stop to it. After all, since he asked that stupid question, he thought that he would let them all vent for a while and let them stop when they got all the frustration out of their systems.
'Any minute now. They're going to stop, you just wait and see.' he sighed. After five more minutes without an end in site he asked his avatar to cut off all virtual sound. It took his team a few moments to register the total absence of any sound what-so-ever.
When he had everyone's attention again he signaled Willow to turn the sound back on. "So. When I said are there *Any questions?* What I had in mind was that, one person would start off and the rest of us would take turns." Xander said with a smirk to show them that he understood their frustration and to put them at ease.
"All right one at a time I'll ask each of you separately. James you're first, go ahead." Xander told his second in command to start off with his concerns.
James looked at his boss and friend and sighed to let go of the tension that was building up. He got up and walked behind his slayer and looked at everyone else and asked what had to be on everyone's mind he could certainly feel that it was on his lovers' mind as well. "Xander when did you know about our reassignment to this exciting adventure filled post." James asked as he looked his boss directly eye to eye.
"Oh boy. You had to ease into it with that one. Didn't you?" Xander sighed again.
He got up and started to pace. "I've known for about a week now. We've been so busy lately that this was the first time we've had together. I wasn't about to spring this on you individually. I wanted you all together, to keep a lid on this. From now and until further notice, our priority is to get back and once back, to seup a permanent station in the Rifts dimension. Next question." Xander said as he pointed at James's Slayer.
