'You're an employee... not a fairy godmother!'

Little did Sharpay know that, while technically she was right, she was totally wrong also. Kelsi had planned on writing and growing this summer. She had been writing, but she had to put the growing off till next summer. At least this way she would be able to complete high school. The growing was actually a chrysalis state in her evolution into an adult.

She wasn't full demon, nor even half, but did have enough genetics that to actually fully mature both physically and into her power she would have to metamorphose. The rest of her father's clan thought that she would still be dominantly human, but no one really knows what would happen during the cocooning. She sighed and she scooped up her music and headed out of the room.

She had kept her distance from those who she would have formed strong bonds. She glanced at Ryan as she passed him in the hall. She knew that they were separated by social levels, but the one between what she might become and human.

She wouldn't be able to make wishes come true. She knew that. Very few were given the power of the Wish, but she would be able to influence people. Her father's clan were well known for their bards and artists, so she had been well versed in the sculpting of songs to influence individuals and groups of people.

She got her ire under control. She counted slowly to ten, and then started counting the things that she was happy about. She was happy that her clan quickly came forward and forged relations with the New Slayers Council. She didn't know if any of her classmate were called, or truly what to look for.

She had been briefed on certain protocols by someone the inspired her almost as much as Ryan. Tall, dark, and mysterious... along with an air of danger with the patch and all. She knew all of the stories about the 'White Knight' of the Slayers, and they did nothing to dissuade her interest in the man.

Luckily she was actually older than she looked. The chrysalis would help take care of that. And after that, if she couldn't have one, she would pursue the other.
