"I don't even know why I'm sitting here telling you this, I mean, we just met and I know you probably don't want to sit here listening to me spew on and on about my pathetic would-be love life," Dr. Izzie Stevens ran a nerve racked hand through her blonde hair. The one eyed man in front of her smile.

"It's easier to talk to someone you don't know. Especially someone who knows how to listen," He told her with a shrug. Izzie's eyes got wide and she tapped his arm frantically.

"That's her, that George's wife," She whispered harshly, her eyes filled with jealous pain as she looked the woman over.

-

I'm in the business of misery, let's take it from the top
She's got a body like an hourglass it's ticking like a clock
It's a matter of time before we all run out...
When I thought he was mine, she caught him by the mouth

-

"I'd of picked you, but I'm partial to blonde's. Brunettes have a tendency to hurt me," Xander told her with a smile. She sent back a half-hearted one of her own. If she only knew he wasn't joking.

"I know, right? I mean, I was a freaking underwear model, now I'm a doctor. Beauty and Brains! and a few creepy fans, but they don't count," Izzie shrugged, tearing her eyes away from the curvy brunette.

"Sometimes it's about more than that," Xander told her. Izzie sighed and nodded. He was right. She was a bitch and focused on her own pain and he'd needed someone then, not when Izzie got around to it. Not that either of them had realized at that time, but still.

"I just can't help but wonder if it would have been fine if Denny had lived. I mean, he and I would be married. Would I still be jealous of Callie and George? Am I fickle?" Izzie buried her head in her arms, missing Xander's sad smile.

-

I waited eight long months
She finally set him free
I told him I couldn't lie, he was the only one for me
Two weeks we had caught on fire
She's got it out for me, but I wear the biggest smile

-

"When I met Anya, we were in High School. She was different, or should I say indifferent? She wanted to use me for sex. Even said so," Xander chuckled at Izzie's look of shock.

"Seriously?" She asked. Xander laughed out loud at the look on the young doctors face.

"To my parents no less. Ahn was ... amazing. You know, I left her at the altar? I did. I was afraid of turning into my father, beating Anya and getting drunk all the time. She forgave me. I don't know how. I still haven't forgiven myself," Xander told her sadly.

-

Whoa...well I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Whoa... it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God does it feels so good
'Cause I got him where I want him now
And if you could then you know you would
'Cause God it just feels so...
It just feels so good

-

"I slept with George. I was hurt and he was hurt and it happened after a bottle of tequila. Is it wrong that I feel glee thinking about it when she's pissing me off?" Izzie wondered idly, swinging her eyes back to her new friend.

"Ah, the old 'I got one over on you' shtick. Do you gloat openly or just revel inside?" He asked with a smile. Izzie grinned widely.

"I guess it's human," She told him, chuckling a bit. Xander shrugged.

"It's all a question of angles. If you aren't doing it to be mean, it's not hurting anyone, and no one else knows your doing it, how can it really be wrong? It's a feeling. You can't really block your feelings without going crazy. They're part of life," Xander told her.

-

Second chances they don't never matter, people never change
Once a whore, you're nothing more, I'm sorry that'll never change
And about forgiveness, we're both supposed to have exchanged
I'm sorry honey, but I passed up, now look this way!

-

"You know what's really wrong?" Izzie asked him quietly.

"What?" Xander asked.

"I don't know if I actually love him, or if this is just me being jealous because he's my best friend. I can't lose anyone else. I just can't," She told him, her voice barely above a whisper.

"That's something that you're going to have to explore on your own. A little advice though? Funny thing about love, it can creep up on you pretty unexpectedly," He told her, reaching up to scratch next to the eye patch.

-

Well there's a million other girls who do it just like you
Looking as innocent as possible to get to who
They want it what they like, it's easy if you do it right
Well I refuse, I refuse, I refuse!

-

"I don't want to be the girl who goes after someone just because she can," The blonde bombshell told him.

"Good, I'd hate to have to not be your friend after all this sharing," Xander told her with a grin. Izzie smile.

"I'd hate that too," She said sincerely, smiling as George came out to talk to Xander.

"Mr. Harris?" He paused and smiled at Izzie, "Vi is doing great, there were no complications and she's being moved to her room right now. The wound wasn't as extensive as we originally thought. The knife missed all of the major organs, and she should be good to go in a day or so barring complications," Xander shook his hand and nodded his goodbye to Izzie as George led him to Vi's room.

-

Whoa...well I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Whoa... it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God does it feels so good
'Cause I got him where I want him right now
And if you could then you know you would
'Cause God it just feels so...
It just feels so good ...

-

"Who's the cyclops?" Cristina asked as she and Meridith caught up with Izzie later that day. They were at the nurses station near Vi's room.

"Xander Harris," Izzie told her.

"He's pretty hot," Cristina said with a shrug.

"Lots of muscles, I like muscles that aren't bulky. He's hot," Meredith agreed.

"What else do we know?" Cristina asked the blonde.

"28, runs a school for gifted girls with the patient, single and strait," Izzie told them.

"Boarding school?" Cristina asked with a wicked smile.

"Yeah," Izzie looks down the hall and spots George kissing Callie, pushing her against the wall and practically devouring her soul. She wants to be kissed like that.

-

I watched his wildest dreams come true
Not one of them involving you
Just watch my wildest dreams come true
Not one of them involving ...

-

"I dub him McMuscle," Meredith decided.

"He's hot and he's built like a swimmer, not a bodybuilder," Christina argued.

"McTeacher?" Izzie offers. The other two women veto that idea as well.
