No Mercy

Shy, demure glances and a pretty blush was the lure required to ensnare the man.

Thoughts of the variety of pretty patterns his blood would create on the surfaces made a wicked smile bloom across her magenta kissed lips. From his hiding place in the dark closet, the Childe watched jealously as deceptively strong hands stroked down her hair to rest on her shoulders. Dru blew her Childe a soft kiss and reached up to touch the man’s hand.

Marrow waited in the dark place, his icy gaze watching the greedy man touch his Mistress. This was the man that encouraged the hunting of his kind. Of what he had been before Drusilla Kissed him. She looked so very fragile and that was what she said would lure this demon-man away from his guards.

She told him to not be jealous, that this thing they did was to protect her Family. That they were now all Family. Transgenics and Slayers and Dru and Marrow. Lost in his thoughts, Marrow lost track of the activity in the room and startled at the appearance of Dru at the closet door.

“Are you hungry my sweet? Not as rich as yours, but his blood will feed.”

Marrow stepped out and smiled at the frightened man on the bed. Dru had him trussed up and vulnerable. This was the man, through doublespeak and insinuations; had encouraged the humans in their vigilantism against the freed Transgenics. Dru had instilled loyalty to Family in him from the beginning and Marrow lunged, ignoring the man’s pleas for mercy.

He didn’t deserve Mercy.
