A New Beginning

Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover with Stargate SG-1

Set at the finish of season 2 of BTVS and season 4 of SG1

Chapter 1: The End

Four hours after she sent Angel through the portal Buffy climbed in her window. She quickly and quietly packed two bags plus her backpack. Once that was done she sat down at her desk and scribbled a note to each of her friends, starting with Giles. Tears splashed on to the pages as she wrote quickly. She wiped them away harshly, chokeing back a small sob she didn't want to say goodbye to her friends but she couldn't stay here anymore.

I’m sorry for letting you down but I can’t stay here. Xander didn’t tell me that you and Willow were trying the spell. It worked. I had to send Angel to hell and he didn’t remember a thing about what he did as Angelus.
Snyder kicked me out of school and when I told mum about being the Slayer she freaked and forbade me to leave the house, I did, I had to kill Angelus and save you but she kicked me out.
I’m sorry for being a disappointment but I can’t change who I am. I’m going away for a while, I don’t know if I’ll be back anytime soon but I’ll call in a few weeks. I’m sorry for leaving but there should be a new Slayer coming to town soon so you guys can take care of things until then.
You’re a great Watcher and a good friend so don’t blame yourself, I’m sorry Giles and I’ll miss you.
Love Buffy
P.S. this isn’t your fault. X

She paused tried to figure out what to write to the others, a series of new tears shone in her eyes as she put the pen to paper.

Your spell worked but it was too late Angelus had already opened the portal, and I had to send Angel through it. I’m sorry but I can’t stay, I’m going to my real mum’s, don’t tell the others please. Joyce kicked me out of home and Snyder kicked me out of school. I don’t know if I can come back, but I’ll try. I’m going to miss you but I’ll call you in a few days. Take care Willow, I’ll miss you. You and Xander are my best friends and you’re my soul sister. Thankyou for trying Will, it means a lot.
Love always
Buffy xo

I understand why you did what you did. You didn’t want to give me hope and if I knew that there was a chance I would’ve hesitated and that would have killed me. I don’t know if I can come back anytime soon. Mum kicked me out and so did Snyder. You and Willow are my best friends and I’ll miss you both so much, but I can’t stay here.
Love Buffy
P.S. I don’t hate you xo

Take care of Willow for me, she’s going to need you. Look after yourself and keep her safe.

Look after yourself. Don’t let the others feel guilty about any of this. Make them laugh, get them angry, I don’t care just don’t let them feel guilty. Please.

She sighed deeply before putting each note in an envelope and sealing it off. Picking up her bags she looked around her room one more time before noticing the picture of her, Xander and Willow she had forgotten. Buffy picked it up and put it in her backpack carefully before sneaking into her mothers room. Joyce was asleep, snoring softly as she dreamt.

Buffy studied her mother for a few seconds before turning to the nightstand where Joyce had put her wallet. If Joyce was throwing her out she was going to pay to have her go. Buffy took the notes out of her wallet and put them in the back pocket of her jeans. With one last look at her ‘mother’ Buffy left.

She walked back to her room and threw her bags out the window, they landed with a soft thud, putting her backpack on she climbed out of the window and jumped down. Buffy picked up her bags and walked to the sidewalk, she turned once more and looked at the house before she walked away, not looking back. It was time to start again.
