Summary: Anyanka grants a wish different from the blood and gore she's used to.
Notes: Set in NCIS: Season 4

This feels good. Anyanka smiled to herself as she sipped her water at the bar. This feels right.

Anya Emerson was gone. Anya Emerson was dead. Just like Aud was dead. But Anyanka was here. She was alive again. Anyanka was the here, the now. And she would never give herself up again.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

And the pretty brunette woman at the end of the bar was a woman scorned.

She eyed Anyanka warily. “Hello.”

“Are you okay?”

“Of course, thank you.”

“Do you want to talk about it?”

“No thank you.”

Anyanka smiled cheerfully anyways. If there was anything her stint as a human had taught her, it was that no didn’t always mean no.

“I’m a great listener.”

The woman stared into her glass. Anyanka fidgeted nervously. It had been days since someone had made a good wish and she had high hopes for this woman who carried herself like a soldier and had eyes like Buffy’s.

“Why are men so boar-headed?”

“Boar-headed? Oh! You mean pigheaded! Yes, I often confuse my literary terms as well.”

“Excuse me?”

“Men are stupid sweetie. What’s wrong?”

“I just wish--”

“What did he do?” Anyanka was not going to let this woman waste her wish. No, she had to get the full story out of her first and then she was going to unleash vengeance like nobody’s business.

“So stubborn.”

Anyanka nodded. “What did he say?”

“He treats women like they are trash. Like they are disposable. It is not right.”

Anyanka nodded eagerly. One could almost feel the excitement vibrating from her hands. “No.”

“Ziva, lighten up. Ziva do not worry. Ziva have a little fun. I am in no mood for his kind of fun. He is so difficult to read sometimes.”

“Oh no. He has a heart. Unfortunately he keeps it hidden and plays with other women’s hearts.”

“So he cheated on you?”

“He – he is a ladies’ man. I – I do not like it.”

“Wish he were a one-woman guy huh?”

She nodded. “Occasionally he is very hot towards me. He is good-hearted and caring. And other times he is flirting with other woman. He simply uses them like toys.”

This was it. She had exposed this man’s jugular and Anyanka was going in for the kill.

“What if he were the toy?”

“So this guy, he uses women? He used you?”

“He does not treat me well.”

“Wouldn’t you love to see him loved and left?”

She nodded enthusiastically, swirling her glass. “That would be most amusing to me. He is incapable of carrying a real relationship. Sometimes I wonder if he knows how.”

“Wouldn’t it be great if someone came along and just led him on and on and on?”

The woman nodded again and Anyanka felt her toes begin to tingle.

“Don’t you just wish that someone could make him feel so completely inadequate and worthless that he thinks his world is falling apart?” Anyanka watched her fervent nods and continued.

“Don’t you wish that he could find true love and have it ripped away from him? Have him know what a real relationship feels like just to have it disintegrate into an illusion of lies and deceit? Don’t you wish that some woman could come along and make him realize what forever is and then take it away and laugh in his face?”

“Yes yes, all of that!”

“Say it. Say it. Say it out loud.”

“I wish Tony DiNozzo would see what it was like to find out that his relationship is a lie.”

Anyanka felt warm from the tips of her hair to the bottom of her feet. The power within her was intoxicating. She felt herself speaking and she felt the magic erupt in her belly and she grinned deliciously in the euphoria she was creating.

Later, Officer Ziva David would forget the kind blonde woman she met in a bar that night. She would forget that she had ever said those things about Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo and she would even forget feeling so angry towards him.

But Anyanka would never forget. It had been centuries since she had had the opportunity to do this. It had been centuries since she had intricately woven a plot of vengeance so cruel and so beautiful as this. Anyanka never stuck around to watch the fires burn, but when she closed her eyes and saw the pain that Dr. Jeanne Benoit would put Anthony DiNozzo through, she screamed in delight.

I'm not too sure how I feel about this one. Reviews would be appreciated.
