Review of chapter "10 – Revelations (No, Not That Book In The Bible)" from rivrgrl
Review:
ooh Trelawney and a prophecy. never a good combo. look what happpened to the Potters with her previous one. so from what i could decipher from it. It means that somehow Dumbledore is going to bring Harry back to them and the Scoobs (scion of the dog that speaks I believe) are gonna come and demand him back in their typical manner. that should be interesting.

can't wait for Chapter 11 and for what ever else you've got planned
Comments from author:
I've noticed that Trelawney's prophecies never seem to bode well for people in the Wizarding World, so if I were Bumble-Dork (which I'm not, thank god!), I'd be running my ass off for the deepest bomb shelter I could find. ;-)

Chapter 11 is out for beta now, and should hopefully be posted next Thursday.

This guy is a bit of an O'Neill, isn't he? I almost laughed out loud when he made the Hockey comment. I hope you can incorporate some more of the HP characters into this soon, I'm dying to see the first encounter between Xander and Sirius, I wonder if they'll kill each other?
Comments from author:
More about Jon's identity will be revealed in the next chapter, although the hockey comment is fully in character. ;-)

All I can say further is that the Scoobies' interaction with the Wizarding World and Hogwarts' staff will be... interesting. ;-)

Review:
Lol this story is great. k lets see if I got this right; feral father, pack-leader= Xander, twice-dead mother= Buffy, mistress of gates=Dawn, her betrothed, the warlord of the ancients=Jon Carter (O'Neil clone), wolf-king= Oz, Gaia’s daughter and Diana’s favored= Willow and Faith, god-killer and heart-father = Giles, healer and protector of the innocent= Lena, Boy Who Vanished= Harry. The only one I'm not sure about is the bloodstained sage Wes maybe? Can't wait for more. :}
Comments from author:
Actually, the bloodstained sage was the primary description of Giles, with god-killer and heart-father as additional modifiers to fully describe him.

Glad to hear you liked it.

Review of chapter "10 – Revelations (No, Not That Book In The Bible)" from CPTSkip
Review:
Yet another great update. How do you do that? Lol! I loved the forseen descriptions of the Scooby Gang and I think you are actually making me feel sorry for old Worrywart, not to mention the rest of the Wizarding World. The poor schmuck will not know what is happening to his butt if he hurts Harry and the rest of them will be caught in the Scooby Fallout. I liked Harry's version of the shovel speech. Is John Mini-Jack? I can't wait for more Scooby goodness.
Comments from author:
More will be revealed about Jon's identity in the next chapter.

As far as the shovel speech went, I think Xander will be quite proud that his son stepped up to the plate and said was necessary at the appropriate moment. (I think Buffy would only be disappointed that she wasn't there to witness it in person.)

And don't feel to sorry for Bumble-Dork; going by JKR's books, he's a calculating and scheming bastard who should have been called on his manipulative ways long ago. Canon Bumble-Dork clearly saw Harry as a tool to be used and discarded after it's no longer necessary.

Review:
This just keeps getting better. That prophesy was awesome; I sat back and reread it a few times to work out who was what. I never realized that Giles was a god-killer until you pointed it out. It sounds like Dumbledore is going to kidnap Harry.
You are right - THAT rescue attempt will redifine "you can't have too much firepower."
Comments from author:
Glad to see the prophecy worked as well as I had hoped.

And yes, most people forget that while Buffy defeated glory, *Giles* was the one who permanently removed the threat that she might return.

And Bumble-Dork is going to learn that if you screw around with people's lives, they're not going to turn around and say, "Thank you," they're going to express their displeasure in an unmistakable manner.

Review:
lmao! Oh yeah, Buffy's definately a mother lion when it comes to both Harry and Dawn. I also love the way you added Jon Carter (would that by chance be Mini Jack from Stargate SG-1 or Sam's cousin or nephew?) HEHEHE Dumbledore, McGonnagal, Snape, and Voldemort won't know what hit them when they find Harry. Please update soon.
Comments from author:
Buffy and Xander and the others are not going be pleased at all with the Wizarding World's plans for their child.

And when you add in Xander's tendency to turn prophecy on its ass, you can reasonably expect things to become a bit...chaotic. ;-)

I vote this fic is, The Best Prophesy, "it sent shivers up my spin" says my brother, and the rest was just as well.

Excellent put to gather, can't wait to the next scene
Comments from author:
Thanks. Glad to see the prophecy worked out as well as I had hoped it would.

Trying to keep posting a chapter a week, but it's difficult with RL interfering.

Review of chapter "Part 9 – Truth and Consequences, Growing up Scooby" from MinaLynn
Review:
I just wanted to thank you for writing this story! I've been hoping to find a really good BTVS/HP crossover that focuses on them raising Harry for sometime. And let me tell you--you hit it spot on! Honestly, this story is very well written and the idea/plot is great. I can't wait to see how the HP world ends up meeting Harry Harris and their reactions to him and his family!
Comments from author:
Thanks for reviewing and the kind words.

I think that you'll really enjoy seeing what happens when the Wizarding World is finally introduced to the Scooby Gang, and how the situation with Voldemort is finally resolved. But that won't be for a while yet, since there's still more of Harry's childhood growing up among the Scoobies to be seen.

Review of chapter "Part 9 – Truth and Consequences, Growing up Scooby" from JediMormon
Review:
I read through this story and have throughly enjoyed it so far. The only part that confused me was this:

------
"Technically, Harry, I guess the answer is no, they're not, because right now the state government still refuses to recognize this type of marriage and they refuse to move to Utah. So, they're doing what's called a handfasting ceremony, which used to be considered the equivalent of getting married hundreds of years ago, but which is currently legally considered only a religious ceremony. Does that explain it enough for you?"
------

If you're refering to the practice of polygamy, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or Mormons as we're more commonly known, does not practice it. It was abolished by the Church in the late-1800's, see http://scriptures.lds.org/od/1. There are those who continue to practice polygamy in defiance of the law and refer to themselves as Mormons, but they are not. Any member of the Church found to be engaged in the practice is excommunicated. No offense meant to you, but this is a common misconception and I try to correct it when I see it.

Besides that, great story so far, update soon!!
Comments from author:
Actually, I know you're right about the practice, but since this is set about ten years in the future, I made the assumption that it was now legal due to new laws.

Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing.

Review of chapter "Part 9 – Truth and Consequences, Growing up Scooby" from WhiteWolf
Review:
I'm going to expect a lot of friction between Xander/Buffy and Sirius. And Sirius is probably going to feel a lot of jealousy, because Harry is probably not going to be so close to him as in the books. He already has a lot of Uncles and two parents, (also a Scooby godfather?).
Comments from author:
The Scoobies-Sirius situation is going to be a little touchy initially, and I rally don't see how it could be otherwise, given the circumstances, although Harry will have a chance to get to know Sirius and Remus better once he's at Hogwarts.

Can't really say much more at this point in time.

Review of chapter "Part 9 – Truth and Consequences, Growing up Scooby" from Weaver
Review:
Seems pretty good so far. How things happened in HP did seem like a bit of a set up so it's nice to see the poor kid being given a fighting chance (not to mention a proper, albeit very large and rather unusual, family), without the whole thing decending into Stu territory. I'll a bit disappointed that the git with the dog collar wasn't Iscariot, but that's mostly due to me being a bit of a Hellsing junkie (and it would've been fun to let Ripper and assorted ticked off Scoobies loose on Maxwell. But that probably wouldn't have worked). I like all the crossover cameos, it's hard to make multiple-crossings work but so far you're doing okay. Keep up the good work.
Comments from author:
The Wizarding World equivalent of the PTB really were looking to dump on poor Harry in JKR's 'verse. In mine, he's got at least a fighting chance.

Glad to see you don't think Harry is a Marty Stu. I'm looking at the people who are raising him and asking 'What would they do to protect their loved ones in a situation like theirs?' and going from there.

Tying in Hellsing along with everyone/everything else in this story would make things much more difficult to reconcile, so they're being left out.

Glad to hear you think I'm handling the crossovers well. I'm trying not to overdo it.
